How Southern Pastures differs from all other New Zealand milk brands comes down to its ability to farm in the precise values driven way that we set and then to choose the route the milk takes when it leaves the farm gate. Our partnerships with processing facilities allows for our milk to flow into various pools, some segregated so it doesn’t mix with any other supplier’s milk so it stays true to our provenance, with some feeding into other milk pools as and where it makes sense.

The high hallmark standards of the Southern Pastures’ 10 Star Certified Values program are used by 14 of the Southern Pastures farms with the impending remainder changing when markets develop. The stringent 10 values and segregated processing makes it largely untenable for other New Zealand farmers to do the same.
